Job Title: Senior Associate- Compliance and Dispute Management

Location: Bangalore/Egypt

Reports To: General Counsel

 

Role Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced legal professional to join our Legal Department for Compliance and Dispute Management. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization’s compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and managing all aspects of litigation and dispute resolution.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong legal background, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

 

What will you do?

Compliance Management

·Regulatory Monitoring and Advisory: Monitor developments in applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to data protection (e.g., GDPR, DPDP Act), cybersecurity, and employment legislation. Provide timely and practical legal advice to internal stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, and Operations teams.

·Program Development and Oversight: Contribute to the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of internal compliance frameworks, including risk assessments and periodic audits.

·Policy Formulation and Training: Assist in drafting and updating internal compliance policies and procedures. Conduct training and awareness programs to promote compliance culture within the organization.

·Reporting and Documentation: Maintain comprehensive compliance documentation and prepare reports for internal management and external regulatory bodies as required.


Dispute and Litigation Management

·Legal Coordination: Collaborate with external legal counsel to manage ongoing and potential litigation matters, including employment-related disputes and regulatory investigations.

·Case Management: Maintain accurate records of all legal disputes, ensure the proper execution of legal holds, and manage case timelines and deliverables.

·Legal Support and Communication: Prepare case briefs, affidavits, and internal risk assessments. Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of legal matters and associated risks.

 

What skills required?

·Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).

·A minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in compliance and/or litigation support, preferably within the technology or IT services industry.

·Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to the information technology sector.

·Excellent legal drafting, research, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications

·Prior experience in SaaS, cloud infrastructure, or software development environments specially in India, Middle East, Africa, US and Europe.

·Familiarity with international compliance standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2).

·Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments such as Engineering, Human Resources, and Information Security.

·Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
