Job Title: Engineer - QA

Experience: 1 to 3 years

Location: New Cairo, Egypt

Role Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA Engineer with 1–3 years of experience, specifically in the core banking domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for writing and executing test cases, performing manual and automated testing, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

What will you do?

• Understand business requirements and design effective test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform manual and automated testing to validate application functionality and performance.
• Execute and manage API testing to verify backend services.
• Develop or maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress (if applicable).
• Log, track, and retest defects to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, BAs, and other QA members to ensure quality standards are met.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and documentation.

What skills required?

• 1–3 years of hands-on QA experience in software testing.
• Mandatory experience in core banking applications or financial systems.
• Proficiency in creating and executing detailed test cases.
• Good understanding of API testing tools and techniques (e.g., Postman, REST-assured).
• Basic familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• A collaborative attitude and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
