Premia™ 11 Unifies Jubilee Insurance’s Multi-Country Operations

Overview:

With over seven decades in the business, Kenya-based Jubilee Insurance Company (JIC) is one of the biggest insurance service providers in East Africa. The insurer has over 450,000 clients and is a part of Nairobi-based Jubilee Holdings Limited, a multi-national insurance holding company, with subsidiaries in Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Mauritius and Kenya.

Challenges

Jubilee Insurance needed a unified management platform across its operations in Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya that would also help the organization keep pace with demands of the digital age.

Jubilee’s IT infrastructure and data were maintained independently for Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, thereby creating challenges in having a common, standardized reporting set-up. Business leaders needed a consolidated and holistic view of business and were looking to leverage emerging technologies for data analysis and customer service enhancements but could not achieve it in the scheme of IT infrastructure and solution hindering their business strategy to serve their customers better.

Solution

Jubilee Insurance has been a valued client of Premia™ since 2004, but to meet their current set of challenges, the Azentio team recommended an upgrade to Premia™ 11, a more robust, dynamic and scalable version that would unify its operations in 3 key countries.

Azentio ensured a successful on-time ‘Go Live’ of the solution, simultaneously across the three countries. Premia™ 11 connected the dots to the digital front-end portals using web-services, along with customised Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards for the senior management.

The implementation of Premia™ 11 was based on a centrally hosted installation integrating the operations for Tanzania and Uganda at Kenya. The Business Solution Mapping, Training and User Acceptance Testing were also managed centrally. This allowed Jubilee Insurance to save cost in resources, license, server, maintenance, and the additional effort of administration.

The solution was integrated with applications supporting digitalization, such as Oracle Financials, Document Management System (DMS) and Workflow Management System (WMS).
